Corona has slowed us down, like so many others. We had created a new program: "#takeoff". We then streamed it as a three-part studio performance.
Also interesting, but we are a live project. Definitely! Nevertheless, it's worth taking a look:

"Out of the Dark - Into the Light"
An entire evening of media arts fantasies
on November 8, 2025, at 8 p.m. at the Theater Blaues Haus in Bolanden Weierhof
This is where Reinhard Geller's latest and first media arts works come together. Two shorter fantasies about the origin of everything, the Big Bang, matter, and time kick off the evening. "Initio strepitus – in the beginning: noise only" and "Tempus" are fantasies fueled by the unresolved questions surrounding the Big Bang and related topics. Not everything is meant to be taken seriously, but it could still have been exactly like that. Nothing has been proven. Back then, 14 billion years ago.

This ties in with "Out of the Dark," a commission from the Kirchheimbolanden Peace Days for their 2024 anniversary, shown here for the first time in its new 2025 version. "Out of the Dark" shows in an empathetic and logical way that humanity belongs together and can only survive through collaboration. Exclusion, marginalization, rejection, persecution, and war are the greatest follies imaginable and cost an infinite amount: lives, time, nature, money. So much better could be achieved with this: A productive and peaceful coexistence on a very small and very lonely planet.

The second half of the evening belongs to SoNoVin, created in 2013 for the Culture Days in Ebertsheim. This marked the start of Reinhard Geller's adventure in media arts and is also his most extensive work to date. It traces the winemaker's year and a day in the vineyard, intertwined with other aspects and irregularities related to wine. Music to moving paintings, or rather painted music? You don't have to decide. Your eyes and ears will be equally filled with stimuli and impressions.

The media arts fantasies are presented on a very large screen and with multi-channel sound.

MediaArts-Phantasy “Out of the Dark” on 9.11. in Kirchheimbolanden at the ev. Paulskirche
as part of the commemoration of the Reichspogromnacht. Start 6 pm.

The MediaArts fantasy is projected onto a large house wall and realized with immersive sound.
Music, moving images and painting are interwoven to create an intense overall work.

The Kirchheimbolanden Friedenstage (Peace Days) have been working on this fundamental theme for 50 years now. This work was created for the annual commemoration of the victims of Nov 9, 1938, the Night of Broken Glass, and was shown for the first time at this year's ceremony.

Video of the premiere performance can be seen here. The website of the Friedenstage can be found here:

Organ Space Night in Tonhalle Zurich
On Whit Sunday '23, the Organ Space Night took place as part of the International Organ Festival Zurich. I was invited to make live visuals for it. It was a great experience.
You can see a few small snippets from it in the current "Showreel Visuals".

Nothing can replace a real encounter with art!
But you can also whet your appetite with clips.
So if you would like to find out more about my painting, voilá:

I am currently working on new MediaArts projects. Just have a look at the MediaArts page to see what's new.
And I'm also increasingly involved in photography, not necessarily in the classical pure doctrine, but with an experimental bent.
And of course I'm happy to receive visits, conversations, brain massages, real, surreal and virtual.
